(More customer reviews)This is my first air purifier but I am very pleased even though I have nothing to compare it to.
I am a smoker and my wife is not but I no longer have to open the door when I smoke I just sit near the purifier and we are both happy, lol,
Also I live in Las Vegas such a dusty city in the deset and our apartment is so much cleaner now. I see the filter and have cleaned it once not because I had to just a personal preference.
some may say there is noisy on high but really it is not bad, low and medium there is no sound at all. I just keep it on high because I smoke.
I had a hard time choosing which model to buy but gladdid not rush and picked this one. no filters to replace ionizer if I want, osilating if I want, I am very please would recommend it to anyone.

(More customer reviews)I reviewed several air purifiers before purchasing the Hamilton Beach 04160 with UV light unit.With all the misleading information on HEPA fitlers, ionic and electrostatic units on the market it can be hard to find exactly what you need. My son has asthma and we all have air borne allergies.Since installation of the unit, in the family room and bed room, the level of dust has decreased and my son has not had an asthmatic attack either.All air purifiers make noise. I give the level of noise a #2 with #1 being very quite. For the price of the unit, price of replacement parts and the quality of performance Hamilton Beach is the one I selected.

Hamilton Beach TrueAir 04712 Allergen Reducing Filter Review

(More customer reviews)This filter does not need to be replaced every 120 days.You can get by, by vacuuming it and reuse it a few times. Compared to the price of other filters, this filter is fairly inexpensive.Currently, Amazon has the `Buy 4, Get 1 Free' deal on this.With that noted, I have tried Daniel Sessoms' suggestion (found in TrueAir 04712 filter review) on how to make the "Hamilton Beach TrueAir 04381 Allergen Reducer" purifier more HEPA-like.What I did was add a carbon filter to the TrueAir 04712 Filter by purchasing the "Honeywell 38002 Enviracare Universal Replacement Pre-Filter" (an inexpensive carbon filter).From just one Honeywell 38002 carbon filter, I was able to cut up 12 pieces for the TrueAir 04712 filter (The cut up pieces of carbon filter factor to be only $0.65 a piece based on price I purchased at). Next, I just simply tape one piece of the cut up Honeywell 38002 carbon filter to the front side of the TrueAir 04712 filter with regular masking tape (taped up edges to filter).The carbon filter will now act as an extra layer of filter, to prevent dust & also clean up some odor.

Every 120 days (or whenever carbon filter turns `gray' due to dust accumulation), I would just remove & throw away the carbon filter, but keep the actual TrueAir 04712 filter (to reuse again).I vacuum the dust off the TrueAir 04712 filter, and tape a new piece of carbon filter to the same side of TrueAir 04712 filter as before.This is to prevent dust on the filter, in case my vacuum didn't pick them all up, from getting suck back into my room again.And when putting back the filter into the purifier, I would make sure to leave the carbon filter facing outward. After doing this carbon filter add-on to the filter, the Hamilton Beach TrueAir 04381 purifier does seem to work better.At least now, not only does it remove dust & pollen, it can also remove odors.

(More customer reviews)Bad enought to pay shipping and a high cost per filter.Was not a 3M filtrete or any type of 3M.It actually didn't have any name.It was more like the fuzzy pleated type that go into your furnace.This company makes custom filters, so you are getting a custom size, generic filter. Too bad they show a picture of a genuine 3M filter online, or I would not have wasted my money and time on this.If you return the filter, you have to cover the return shipping, and the handling cost is non-refundable. I guess with the high cost of shipping, and the postage to return, they expect people not to bother.Save yourself the time and disapointment.

(More customer reviews)The 04211 I can hear over the microwave. This one (04269) I can't. It's still not as quiet as the Febreze model Odor Eliminator, but the 04269 does a champion job of reducing odor. If you buy from DollarRite with Amazon fulfillment, you'll get the pet filter included, which is thicker than the basic carbon filter. Also, the sheer circumference of the ventilated portion of the 04269 is bigger than the Febreze model (keep in mind, however, the unit itself is also a little bigger, if space is at a premium).

I still prefer the Febreze model Odor Eliminator for its quiet fan, but this model runs a close second.

(More customer reviews)This just arrived and within an hour I had noticed a big difference iin the rooms air quality. My wife is going to love it more than I will, as I smoke and she doesnt.

This purifier is simple and easy to use. I also like the fact that you can lock the settings. This feature would be great for families with kids, especially young children.

As with any air purifier it is very quiet on low settings and get noisier on higher settings, especially the turbo setting. But then again its no noisier than the dishwasher, the central a/c, blenders, mixers, washing machine, or other air puifiers I looked at.

This purifier is good height and style.If my opinion changes after some use, I will be back to say so, otherwise I will be happy with this as can be.

(More customer reviews)To start, I just want to let it be known that I've had my Hamilton Beach TrueAir Allergen Reducer for all of a week...But there's been so much of a difference that I couldn't wait any longer to write this review.

I've never had any hardcore allergies to cats or dogs, and I love pets.When I married my wife, I became Dad to her six cats.Long hair, shorthair, hair everywhere.And a few months ago, I began noticing that waking up in the morning was getting increasingly unpleasant.As of last month (and I'll try not to be overly graphic) I was waking up without fail each day with what felt like a concrete mixer behind my eyes.Congested every morning, and having to take extra-long, piping hot showers to feel any better... usually followed by at 500 mg of Tylenol and an additional allergy medicine.

So I saw this Allergen Reducer for a 210 square foot room online and decided the price was right to give it a shot (replacement filters are less than $15 each, which was also an acceptible cost).Our bedroom is about that size exactly, and since we usually have at least three cats in bed with us at any given time during the night, it seemed worthy of the investment.

After four days of having this machine on in our room (with the one door usually open only enough for the cats to enter and exit), I'm happy to report that each day I have (waked? woken? waken?) to a 99% improvement.I'll certainly come back to this review in future months to update, but there has been such an enormous difference within a very short time that I wanted to tell others who might be currently experiencing what I have in the past that this device might provide much welcomed relief, and quickly!

Hamilton Beach 04492 True-Air Tower Ionic Air Purifier Review

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these at Wal-Mart to replace an expensive Honeywell that I had in my house for many years. It finally died and I went to buy another one just like it, but it was no longer available. I decided to try to this one and have been very impressed.

The unit is quiet, not like the other review. The auto setting automatically adjusts when the air is dirty. In the morning after my wife sprays her hairspray, the unit in our bedroom kicks up to high for a few minutes to clear the air!

I am so impressed by this unit, that I have purchased six more, for a total of seven. We have a large house and I want two in my living area, two in my family room, one in my bedroom and one in each kid bedroom.

The unit is much quieter than the Honeywell and I like the fact that I do not have to replace the filter.

Only time will tell if it is a good product for several years, but right now this is a GREAT PRODUCT!!
