(More customer reviews)The Harmony Air Purifier has turned out to be a great little workhorse of a machine!I have dogs and this machine does a great job of removing their dust, hair and dander from the air.The only problem I have is the noise.The Harmony is not loud, but it is noticeable.Filter replacement is easy.Filter costs can add up.The recommended replacement on the Hepa filter was 12-18mos, but I needed to replace after 8 months of hard use.Overall I reccomend it.Good Quality, Great Price.

Blueair 603 Air Purifier - Standard Review

(More customer reviews)I was diagnosed six months ago as having a severe dust mite allergy and also as slightly allergic to cats.We have two cats, I didn't want to get rid of, so our compromise was to buy two blueair filters.We bought the 603 for the first floor, which is about 1000 square feet, and a 503 for our bedroom.We have run them nonstop since we bought them six months ago.

Last year when I went to the allergist, I had been having breathing problems for 9 months and what seemed like a nonstop cold.This winter I have felt great all winter!I think the blueair HEPA filters really made the difference (I did also put my mattress and pillows in dust mite covers).

We leave it running on high 24 hours a day, and it has worked great.It sounds like a typical fan on high, but on the HEPA Silent mode, you can't hear it.In fact my husband will turn it to HEPA Silent and I'll get mad at him because I think he's shut it off!

When we decided to buy a heavy duty HEPA filter, we wanted the best we could get, since this was seriously affecting my health.I definitely feel we did get the best. I should add that we owned a low-end Honeywell HEPA filter for years which I slept with on in my room - and it didn't help at all with my allergies.It's definitely worth getting a quality product.

Blueair HEPASilent Air Purifier - White (201) Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product several months ago as I've suffered most of my adult life w/ allergies. I have my Blueair next to my bed and leave it on almost 24 hrs. a day. The filter is easy to change (approx. every 6 months) & there are multiple speeds so you can control both the flow & the associated noise of the fan. Even on high, the noise is very comfortable; allowing for a good nites sleep. Since I've started using this device, I've noticed a nice decrease in my sinus symptoms (especially during the height of allergy season). The only negative comment that I will make is that there is a blue 'power' light on the front, upper left panel, that is kinda bright and noticeable in a dark room. However, I McGiver'd it by simply putting a bit of electrical tape over it which blocks it out just fine. Even w/ this one point,I would still recommend this product in a heartbeat.

(More customer reviews)This machine is well designed.Easy to use.I would say maybe a bit louder than some of the others on the market; however if you look closely some of the others don't cover pets.Yes, pets.I noticed that a lot of them would filter cat dander.Also, I wanted something that would address specifically mold.This does the trick.I can tell the house is cleaner and have had guest comment that the house doesn't smell like musty dog anymore (though I didn't know it did).

As I said, it's well designed with many things in mind.I'm rather keen on the fact that the lights on the device has 16 different light settings.I turned off the lights since I'm very light sensitive.

There is also the option to use other filters and not be tied into buying their filers only.Great savings in filers and energy.

What I was looking for: consumer report friendly, somewhat portable/sleek design, dog dander, mold, and energy.(dont' forget the energy cost - it can be way more than the filter cost)

Great buy!Considering buying another one for the bedroom.

However it is loud (at high settings) and the air comes out one small area on the top side - giving the discharge a "blow dryer" like air velocity. (More customer reviews)You can also find this filter at Target stores.It includes two triple-ply filters and a foam filter on top of those to catch the large particles like dust and cat or dog hair.It has three levels of action, but I put it on high as I like the `white noise' that it provides, as it helps to put me to sleep.Although you are supposed to replace the filters at 90-180 days, I simply take my vacuum cleaner attachment and reverse suck the small particles from the filters, making them last longer.The foam filter on top is simply washed in the sink to remove the dust and hairs.The ionizer also helps with musty smells and can be turned on or off.In a large room, you don't need to be concerned about over-ionization or nitrous oxide problems.It's good looking and provides a slight breeze, cleanliness, ionization and a `white noise'.The filters are also not expensive, although I wish I could afford one that does not require replacement filters.I could not sleep without one.

(More customer reviews)I bought this unit and I like it because it is very quiet so that I can sleep with no problem.Also, it has LED light warning so that if my room air is not good, red light shows on top left hole.If my room air is clean, it gives blue light.It works very fast with super strong air pump.My office is in downtown and the air quality is pretty bad.When I smoke in the office, this coway air gets rid of smoking smell so good, nobody notices next morning.I think this coway air is a competitor of iq air, blu air, and rabbit air.But, I like this one since it has nice design and very quiet.

Pros:
- 5 year warranty
- upto 2~3 year filter life
- nice design
- very quiet and automatic settings
- LED warning light for air quality
- works good for pollen
- no smoking smell

Cons:
- no remote control, if you are lazy.but, you can setup for automatic setting so when it is dark, it slows down.
- small size, if you think bigger size works better.I think it is good up to 300 sq ft.

If you are looking for something under $100, this product is more.But, you pay for the price.If you are looking for iq air or blu air, coway air purifier is reasonable and works very good for allergy problem and flu.

We hadn't had a dog for quite some time, so after a few days you could really smell the dog.I put one of these purifiers in "her" room, which is pretty big (we converted our two car garage into her room). The next morning you could really tell the difference.I will have to change the filters out in that unit much quicker than the other one in the house, but it really works in taking odors out of the air. It is a good buy!!
