Many people warned me that when I moved my office to this space that I would be constantly suffering with allergies. The office was full of mold and mildew but with the help of the air purifier, people come in an comment on how fresh the air smells. It's hard to believe that a machine so small can do so much!

(More customer reviews)This is the replacement filter for the surround air. After I had spent months doing research on different air filtration systems, I did not just look at infomercials. I decided on surround air because it had 5 levels if purification and sanitizing. It was not super expensive. It had a longer warrenty than most. And a very important detail is that it was not expensive to maintain changing filters and such, it turns out to be about $2.50 a month. That seems a fair price to pay for waking with a clear nose and no headache.

(More customer reviews)I started to run this air purifier exactly 52 hours ago, and it has already changed my quality of life.

I have never owned an air purifier before.I have been literally choking on the air in my own apartment during the several months that I have been living here, and I had extremely unrealistic expectations about an air purifier:I imagined posting something like, "Wow!I could feel the difference after two hours!"Well, OK, it took more than two hours!But it happened.

I started it on low fan with the sanitizer disabled.Then I went to medium fan, then I added the sanitizer on low, then I put the fan on high and the sanitizer on medium.I awoke this morning no longer choking on the air and no longer confronted with the aggressive dusty odor with which I had come to associate my apartment.I left it today with the fan on high and the sanitizer on medium and returned tonight to a completely different atmosphere.

I am not afraid of the ozone produced by the sanitizer but if you are you can choose to run it only once in a while or never.

My only concern is that, unlike some other air purifiers, this one does not have a display light that indicates when the HEPA filter is dirty (and this HEPA filter is permanent if you have a hand vac although you can also choose to buy a replacement filter [also readily available through amazon]).Since this is my first air purifier, a dummy light would have been great.But I went for the price.I guess I'll know when the filter needs vacuuming or changing when I sense that the air is once again heavy with particles.

But no negatives.I love this thing.I want to hug it.

(More customer reviews)The 3Q (Model #3Q-AP-04S) Electrostatic Air Purifier With Filter & UV Lamp arrived on the East Coast from Washington State within a week of ordering it from Amazon. It came in a plain cardboard box, and inside I found the two units in their own separate boxes. Inside aside from the two units were an AC wallwart transformer and a set of instructions with each unit. Setting up the 3Q Electrostatic Air Purifier was a snap and pretty intuitive. However, remove the small piece of masking tape securing the electrostatic collector rod on the inside before plugging in and setting up. Perhaps the instruction book was the only thing that needed improvement. The units and the instructions are made in China (well, maybe that's another negative, we could use the manufacturing jobs here) and the instructions have lost something in the transition between Chinese and American script. Otherwise the product seems well designed. The collector rod is easy to remove and install, the top 'on-off' two speed fan control is well placed and the switch is easy to adjust. On it one will find a 'night-light' which has a nice blue glow which can be turned off by a small slide switch towards the bottom front of the unit. I wished they had put it on top to make it more convenient - however, the units are light and very easy to lift via the inset handle in the back below the lid hinge. One thing to point out is the instructions for the removal and cleaning of the UV light leaves a lot to be desired. Another thing before using the unit is to consult your physician if you have trouble breathing. According to the manual, individuals should consult their physician if they have respiratory problems or lung disease, since the unit puts out traces of ozone when turned on. In use, it does make a difference, after a few hours of use for the first time, the air seems cleaner, less heavy. Even the air conditioning is less harsh. The unit utilizes an electrostatic cleaner, a UV lamp to kill mold and bacteria and a charcoal filter to freshen the air, making it a triple threat to indoor air pollution. Little tip, plug it into a surge protector to protect your investment from damaging power spikes. The units offer a three year limited warranty which beats the usual ninety days to one year of other products. Overall, it seems a pretty good value for what you get. Just make sure to keep the invoice or receipt in a safe place. I've given it four stars for its performance and value. One less star due to a rather poorly written manual that needs a little proofreading before sending it to the printer. Still, highly encourage one to read the instructions. Otherwise, I like what I see so far.
